Finally, we’re seeing real innovators of women’s swimsuits and noticing designs that are incredibly unique. Such brands get noticed for their push for impact design, construction and their need to contribute to the slow changing swimwear industry.
The most experienced and elitist swimwear designers choose to make their brand and beautiful designs obvious, memorable and profitable, they know exactly how they will flatter and reflect current swimwear trends. I’ve discovered only a small few that has shaped and elevated their illustrations while other guys do not.
I’m not talking about strange yet beautiful fabric cutouts, crocheted tops, deep plunging bikinis, sequins, mesh and multiple wraps or straps. It’s a big industry and you can discover a plethora of successful styles with these features. I want to stretch your imagination a little further and think about what makes a swimwear design aesthetically beautiful, purposeful and avoids the traps of trying to please the whole market of basic swimsuits. To name a few successful brands and that I genuinely love, TRIANGL (use of neoprene, embroidery), Kiini (Neoprene and colour knitted techniques), Mara Hoffman (Saturation and colour) and Norma Kamali (Metallic studded swimsuits). Sure, there’s more to mention but these are the brands that I most easily associate with a unique design, that command heaps of colour and attention to detail. I can think about re-wearing them and still have a lot to gain with its unrivalled styles.
Plenty are competing for a unique selling proposition in their swimsuit designs and are limited, their doing all this and wanting a slice before reflecting trends end. Design consistency in your product collections can be key to begin with and sometimes, it’s not always true.
A brand that I think is worth a mention is BUTTEENi swimwear. I created the brand so that I can switch the focus to sexy bottoms and give rise to custom designs that will further enhance and flatter your pert bottoms. I don’t use neoprene, apply interesting cutouts or use metallic studs or rhinestones to my designs. Without all the ruffles and off the shoulder pieces, I illustrate on playful, vibrant, sexy and fully functional (fit for swimming!) pieces.
When you’ve window shopped at every storefront and swimsuit store and can’t find that flattering piece for your most important body part, your bum and every energy you’ve put into doing daily squats are gone unnoticed… well, I’m going to take on Adobe skills and make my offering! unique bikinis store
What did I actually discover from all the window shopping? Not much. Not entirely true but I can be certain that bikini tops will almost always succeed in greater detail design over bottoms. As a result of this, I’m creating a niche on designing custom ‘back’ bikini bottoms (hand drawn custom patterns). I let my vibrant colours and designs run the show. Design visuals, comfort, fitting, and practicality is very important to us.
Designs really do speak for themselves. unique bikinis shop
